Subscriptions

If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, your agents can run on that subscription instead of drawing per-token from your Taurus wallet. It needs a Taurus plan that includes it; Settings → Billing shows which.

Connecting

Open the agent → Settings → Model and pick a model marked (Sub); their IDs start with subscription/. Then start a run and send a message. The run walks you through authorizing with Anthropic or OpenAI, and carries on by itself once you are done.

You authorize once per account: every agent you point at a subscription/... model afterwards uses the same connection.

Account Settings → Subscriptions

This tab shows whether each provider is connected, takes a Claude token you already have (the output of claude setup-token), and clears a saved connection with Revoke saved token or Revoke saved auth.

Subscription → OpenRouter fallback

Sometimes a run cannot continue on the subscription — usually an older run resumed after its provider session is gone. The control at the bottom of the tab decides what happens then, for your whole account:

  • Default — continue on the best non-subscription model available, usually the matching OpenRouter mirror. That one bills your wallet, unless it runs on a provider key of your own.
  • Disable fallback — the run stops with an error instead of switching to a wallet-billed model.
  • Subscription-only — nothing on the account may bill your wallet. Runs on a subscription, or on your own provider key, are unaffected.

When runs stop

Reaching your provider's limit ends the run with the provider's own message. It reads as final, but the run is not lost: wait for the limit window to reset — or connect another subscription with the same provider — then open that run and send another message. It carries on from where it stopped.

An existing run cannot be handed to the other vendor's subscription, though. Switching an agent between subscription/anthropic/... and subscription/openai/... mid-run leaves the run to the fallback rule above, so start a fresh run for the other provider.

If a saved Claude token stops working, Revoke saved token and connect again from a run.
